]]> WWP regular Mark Webb continues to astound and delight me and WWP regulars who have worked with him. A beginner not two years ago, he now publishes poetry regularly, and has started his own literary journal, A Narrow Fellow. Two recently published poems earned praise. “I Dipped Dusk in Demerol (Juked),” has been nominated for Best New Poems, and “Bandits in the Temple of Pashupatinath” (Literary Juice) has been nominated for the Pushcart prize. Mark workshopped both poems in WWP. We’re so proud of you, dude!

]]> Here’s an interesting bit of trivia. Russell Mulcahy, who directed the first Highlander flick, also videographed “Video Killed the Radio Star,” the very first music video shown on MTV. It was the first music video he directed.

[This trivia thanks to friend and poet Sarah Anne White-Thielmeier for extensive pop culture, music, and netflix conversations/recommendations, who made me curious to watch Highlander again and thus is partly responsible for this late night google discovery.]
